Since the Sun causes global warming, there isn't much you can do to stop it.
Live a good life and be responsible. That's good for the planet.

Eat less meat. Don't talk alot, it conserves energy and produces less CO2. Turn off your computer, it is using too much electricity and contributing to global warming as well.

The main focus has to be to reduce energy use first. Secondly, we need to have the energy we do use coming from renewable sources wherever possible.
Energy reduction experiments or projects are easy. A good one is to record how much power your house meter is recording as used each day. Then make some changes like turning off one or two lights, changing to fluorescent bulbs, not watching TV for one night and so on.
If you want other solar experiments have a look at the Kids Activities part of my wesite, listed below.

I think thats a GREAT idea! I'm all about saving the planet. You should start with the simple stuff like turning off the water when you brush your teeth, turning out lights when you leave a room, and recycling. You know, the easy stuff thats no hassle!

Live by the 3 'R's
Reduce
Reuse
Recycle.
Car pool when possible.
Take shorter showers.
Be sure to turn the lights off when they are unnecessary.
Unplug things.
Don't by C.D.s or DVDs download them from iTunes, saves materials.
Walk and ride bikes.
Purchase green products or environmental friendly
And remember, when you purchase things, you are pretty much saying something along the lines of, i agree with this product, how it was made, what is in it, and what is going to happen to it when i am finished.
Furthermore, explore a vegetarian life style.
Or eat less meat.
Because the consumption of meat worldwide contributes more to Global Warming than all of the Automobiles and Aircrafts in the world! combined.

Well, global warming in itself is not an unnatural phenomenon. But it appears that humans artificially accelerated the [otherwise natural] process through a combination of ignorance (in the past) and irresponsibility (in the present).
You may want to look into methods of reducing pollution, for that seems to be the source of the problem. That means (1) buy products that are manufactured in an eco-friendly manner, and (2) minimize YOUR pollution.
Inexpensive ideas:
- Use "zero-VOC" paint/glue/caulk (reducess harmful chemicals off-gased into the air and contributing to smog).
- Reuse & recylce products, so you don't support pollution from factories.
- Minimize heating/cooling in the home - these systems MAJORLY pollute the air.
- Use public transporation, or walk, whenever possible (another major one!)
- Use only home appliances that are marked with the Energy Star label.
- If building/constructing things, look for scraps and leftovers you could use.
- When shopping, bring a canvas bag to put the products in. Otherwise you have to choose between killing trees or supporting plastic bag manufacturers.

Encourage people to stay informed and let them see how they can apply energy saving techniques in their own home. The problem is we are all well intentioned, but you can't force people to change their behavior. Be there as a support and resource system. That will make all the difference.

You may start by saving energy, this can be achieved at no cost and minimum effort.
Save electricity, petrol and passive design actions, such as reducing the thermostat few degrees, dont open windows in winter, wear warm clothing. of course in hot climates light cloths are useful, raise the thermostat for cooling, use shutters for windows and open windows late afternoon.

Use energy saving light bulbs
Turn off the lights when you leave the room.
Don't drive short distances, you can walk!
If you and a friend are going somehwere, carpool instead of going in separate cars.
Recycle
Don't run the dishwasher or dryer etc. until after 6 pm in the evening (that's when factories close, if do it while they are open, electricity plants will have to produce even more energy than they are already producing)
Don't turn the air conditioning cooler than 78 degrees in the summer.
Don't turn the heat hotter than 68 degrees in the winter
That's all I could think of, hope it helps!
